We did not stay; walked in, walked out having taken photographs after a very unsatisfactory discussion with the owner who told us we got what we paid for and that we were the problem. We got a poorly maintained property with layers of dust and dirt. The housekeeper was supposed to check the house before we arrived but either this had not been done or judging by the evidence not good at their job; an offer of sending over the housekeeper was rejected as the work required was not a quick clean up. Cottages.com dealt with our complaint swiftly, so full marks to them.
