Great location and beautifully decorated and comfortable place. Large for two people. It was a short walk through the woods to get to a great gastro pub.

Very much enjoyed our week at Upper Double Lodge the property itself nicely located and tastefully furnished. Having the woods outside our door was ideal for our dogs plenty to enjoy and the hotel and golf course at the roads end welcomes non residents should you want a drink. We were fortunate to arrive for the final three days of the gala at Gatehouse again a short walk away plenty of places to enjoy a drink or meal. Threave gardens and the castle nature reserve to view the ospreys where a delight the only downside we found where local beaches clean but rather small without facilities.
