The Lodge is in a rural area, yet only a few miles from Dumfries. The property is pristine, more spacious than in the photos and the fixtures and fittings are very tasteful . Lovely views of the hills from the open plan living area and kitchen. Beautiful mature trees. Outside seating area. We really enjoyed staying there for a week in August. There is occasional background noise from passing cars during the day, but in the evening and at night, the lodge was extremely quiet and we slept well. We arrived during the day and it was easier than I anticipated to find the property. The owners were very helpful. We arrived to find the fridge contained fresh milk, butter, bread and a lovely bottle of wine.

Ultra modern stylish well-equipped accommodation situated in beautiful rural surroundings but very handy for shops in Dumfries as well. We particularly liked the bedside reading lights in the master bedroom as we are avid readers. A choice of lighter duvet would be welcome in Summer.
