We were looking for a quiet out of the way place to stay. There were lots of easy, plenty places to go walking. Could go further by car to visit lots of nearby places to visit if you prefer. The Cheese loft was excellent accommodation and would highly recommend a stay there.Gill and Simon very friendly and most welcoming. A must place to stay for a relaxing getaway.

We had a lovely time at the cheese loft over New Year. The area is very quiet and the surrounding countryside and beaches are truly stunning. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped, maybe the best equipped place we’ve stayed. The host gave us a short tour of the cottage when we arrived which was very welcome. We enjoyed visiting the local beaches and landmarks, but also building a fire and relaxing watching the sunsets. It is quite remote, so it’s a good idea to stock up in Stranraer on the way or bring your food supplies.
