Low Tide is a charming, well-equipped cottage in Anstruther, praised for its stunning sea views, peaceful location, and secure garden ideal for dogs. Guests appreciate the proximity to the Fife coastal path, local amenities, and eateries. The cottage is cosy and perfect for couples, with many returning guests. Some mention minor issues with cleanliness, comfort of lounge chairs, and occasional dog odours, but overall, visitors enjoy a relaxing and memorable stay in a beautiful setting.
Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, but a few reported issues such as dust, dog smells, and towels not appearing fresh. These concerns were not universal but mentioned enough to note some inconsistency.
The location is highly praised, with guests loving the sea views, direct access to the coastal path, and proximity to Anstruther and local amenities. Parking can be tricky at times, but the setting is considered exceptional.
The cottage is described as cosy and the bed generally comfortable, but several guests found the lounge chairs and, in one case, the mattress less comfortable for longer stays. Overall, comfort is good but could be improved.
Guests consistently mention the cottage is well-equipped, with a full kitchen, washing machine, and everything needed for a self-catering stay. The secure garden is a highlight for dog owners. Maintenance is generally good, with only minor issues noted.
There are no mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

A really lovely property with a fabulous view. This is now our 4th Year booking Low Tide where it's location is hard to beat. Property has everything you require including a washing machine, oven and hob, microwave and all the pots, pans utensils etc required should you want to cook and eat in instead of venturing out. The property has cosy living room looking out into the water with patio doors leading out to the garden. We have spent many an hour sitting with a glass of wine watching the world go by, or on a wild night the waves crashing over the wall at the bottom of the garden. The property is less than 10 minutes walk from Anstruther town centre where there are numerous chippies and places to eat to suit everyone. There's a large co-op 15 minutes walk that has everything you require for a holiday break. We will look to book another long weekend next year staying a t Low Tide
