The property is ideal for a family or group of friends, who will certainly appreciate the views, wildlife and tranquillity all around them. Located in the heart of the Highlands, with breathtaking scenery of high, rugged mountains and gentle lochs, it a relaxed and welcoming holiday retreat. The accommodation is set over two levels, with two bedrooms at ground floor level and two on the upper floor. The heart of the home is the open plan vaulted living area, woodburning stove and large windows that look out onto the mountains. There is a very well-equipped kitchen with a central island where guests can enjoy home-cooked meals around the dining table. Due to its efficient design and air source underfloor heating, plus heat recovery ventilation system, this property is always warm and cosy. It is ideal for holidays at any time of year. The village of Dornie is a short drive away and offers good local services, as well as being home to the world-famous Eilean Donan Castle, which has an excellent visitor centre and cafe and is well worth a visit. Once you have explored the lovely local Lochalsh area which includes Plockton, it's easy to venture across the Skye Bridge and explore the island. A further journey to the north takes you to the rugged beauty of Torridon and Applecross with its award-winning inn. To the south takes you to Glenelg with its curious brochs and the last turntable ferry in the world.
The whole area is rich in things to see and do, but at the end of an active day returning to this special cottage will be a delight. EPC Rating: Band B
