Please note: The sea is 55 yards away from the property.. Market Stance is a bungalow set outside the quiet village of Glenelg. There are beautiful uninterrupted views from the living room, kitchen/dining room and the master bedroom of Skye, the beach and Glenelg Bay. Guests can relax on the comfy sofas in the living room, where there is also use of a high power telescope and a desk with a light whilst working remotely. The kitchen has a dining area with chairs and patio doors lead out to the covered patio. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and the master bedroom enjoys views of the sea and Isle of Skye. Outside you can relax and enjoy the covered patio area where you can drink in the amazing views, with the sea just yards away.

We absolutely adore Glenelg and Market Stance. Being so close to the beach is brilliant and it’s a short walk to the shop and the pub. The local wildlife is also amazing. There aren’t many places in the UK where seals and dolphins are a regular occurrence. The only downside we found was the bed in the master room was far too hard and too high (personal preference) and the dated washing machine. Unfortunately we had an incident in the first week which resulted in the lid hitting me on the head whilst loading and I needed to get first aid which meant we missed putting the bin out for collection. An outside line would also be beneficial during warmer days rather than the indoor creel.

Location is superb - right on the coast - the rocky beach (with sand at low tide) is literally a few steps from the door. Covered patio for sitting out and cosy, big lounge for rainy days. It’s a perfect place to hole up to watch the view change with the weather but it’s also a good base for exploring parts of north-west Scotland which are still off the beaten track (Glenelg brochs, Arnisdale, Sandaig) and it’s very handy for the little turntable ferry to Skye. Beds were comfy, enclosed space for the dog, big utility room, nice kitchen/diner. It’s the owners’ holiday cottage not a soulless business enterprise so has a lovely home from home feel.

What a stunning location the views are amazing just sit there and watch them change never bothered watching the tv. The house is very comfortable has everything you need when on holiday. Very quite outside not many people about loads a wildlife. The cafe at the ferry crossing does a lovely coffee to.Hopefully be back again next year
