Please note: The sea is 55 yards away from the property.. Market Stance is a bungalow set outside the quiet village of Glenelg. There are beautiful uninterrupted views from the living room, kitchen/dining room and the master bedroom of Skye, the beach and Glenelg Bay. Guests can relax on the comfy sofas in the living room, where there is also use of a high power telescope and a desk with a light whilst working remotely. The kitchen has a dining area with chairs and patio doors lead out to the covered patio. Both bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and the master bedroom enjoys views of the sea and Isle of Skye. Outside you can relax and enjoy the covered patio area where you can drink in the amazing views, with the sea just yards away.

Stunning location, loads of walks, wildlife galore and interesting history, Glenelg Ferry, stunning views right from the house which was lovely and comfortable, weather was brilliant too!

Market Stance was absolutely wonderful.An abundance of scenic solitude. The cottage was more than suitable for our needs enhanced by caring & thoughtful touches. No negative remarks are required, in fact the opposite is true. The owners pride in the place is reflected in every room.Another plus is the aspect, perched on the edge of a crescent beach overlooking eastern Skye. Surrounded by amazing geology and wildlife, a base for a variety of day trips or just enjoying pottering along the shoreline. If you know the movie Local Hero....you definitely do feel as if you are part of that classic film. There were many highlights of our stay but to select one must be the nearby Glenelg Ferry crossing. You can actually see the Skye slipway from the lounge window. Another would be the view across to the Five Sisters of Kintail...we were most fortunate to receive perfect weather to view this magnificent panorama. A good village shop and traditional pub were great assets, both very friendly and welcoming. However visitors may well need to bring along basic food provisions to which local supplies can be added. To conclude: the "colours of Scotland" are all on display in this area, images that will stay with us forever. Market Stance is a really special place.

We had the most fantastic time at Market Stance. Really, we couldn’t have asked for more. The house itself was really spacious, very well equipped, and had a lovely homely feel to it. We had everything we needed during our stay and the communication from Rob and Louise when we arrived and prior to arriving was excellent. The location of the house is the thing that sets it apart. It was so peaceful and beautiful that it can’t be bettered! We had a blissful week of swimming in the sea, exploring the rock pools and treasurers to be found on the beach, spotting wildlife, walking to the pub and village shop and generally enjoying the stunning area of Glenelg. We will be back!!
