Just got back from the most amazing week here at Molalatau Lodge with the family and wow this place is absolutely incredible. The best place we have ever stayed, the photos really don't do this place justice and its much more spacious than we thought. The location is so quiet and peaceful with an incredible view, we even seen red squirrels in the trees by the lodge. The house is well equipped with everything you might need for your stay plus extras. We really loved using the steam room downstairs and made use of the BBQ hut & Sauna area outside on the hill. The wrap around balcony is huge and great place to have your morning coffee. We managed to see lots whilst here and did lots of stops on the NC500 route nearby. Definitely recommend a trip to Achmelvich beach (1 hour drive) stuff to do on the way here too (The Bone Caves, Ardvreck Castle & Wailing Widow Falls). We also did a few things on the East coast - Dornoch is a lovely place with a great beach and we drove up to John O'Groats (2 hours). . We had a Tesco food shop delivered here during our stay which was great and we seen a few ASDA vans around as there are no large supermarkets close by but there are smaller shops around a 12 minute drive if you need any essentials. We will definitely back again to this amazing lodge!Thanks for an amazing stay

Beautiful lodge in The Highlands. Stocked with everything you could need and spotlessly clean. Very peaceful as you would expect. Heather the housekeeper friendly and very helpful.Good walks nearby and wildlife such as osprey, deer (various), foxes etc etc. The Falls of Shin are 10mins away and worth a visit.Highly recommended.

We didn't want to leave. The house is like something out of a dream. So well stocked with everything you need, it's an amazing family home and we are so grateful we got to spend a week there. I dont know how they do it, but is absolutely spotless, not a cob web in sight. The drying room and steam room are wonderful bonuses. Its in a perfect spot for exploring the highlands with multiple waterfalls, castles and beaches in close proximity. There is also local shops and some amazing restaurants. I cant recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be back.
