There are not enough superlatives to say about this beautiful home. It’s a peace of heaven, the tranquility, all the wildlife around, we had a lot of visitors to the garden including pheasants, guinea fowl, various birds and five minutes walk away was the chocolate shop/cafe, (even playing the soundtrack to Chocolat which was apt) the lovely hotel beside it which served the most amazing craft beers and The Inn on the Tay opposite which served the most amazing food. The house is gorgeous, the owners, lovely people who couldn’t do enough for you. We appreciated the wine and chocolates left and the abundance of kiln dry logs which served the fire in the evenings. My mum was in her element and we hope to come back next year. I can’t say anything negative because there isn’t anything. If you manage to go to the House of Bruar take plenty of money, the clothes are fantastic (tweed) and visit Balmoral Castle, it was fab. Thank you x

Enjoyed our holiday in the cottage although were a couple of issues for us. There was an issue with having a bath on one side of the cottage having warm water not hot. This was sorted however straight away with instructions from Hilary to override the system provided. The TV is really small for a big room and couldn’t get all the apps. It was in a position away from the settees therefore not easy to see. The fridge was not working in the kitchen but there was another one available so no issue for us. However we did have to be up for a fridge fitter coming at 9am one morning which was a bit inconvenient. This was obviously a one off. All that being said, Hilary was on hand via text to report any issues. The cottage is really well stocked with everything you could possibly need. There is a nice garden with a great bird feeder and you can sit at the kitchen window looking out at all the amazing birds. And on arrival a bottle of wine and biscuits were there for us. There were fresh flowers which was a really nice touch. It is a spacious property for the price which we thought was very excellent.
