St Boswells sits on the south of the River Tweed in the Scottish Borders. There is much evidence of Roman occupation, dating from almost two thousand years ago. Today, St Boswells is known for being on the route of St Cuthberts Way, the long distance path from Melrose Abbey to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. The village boasts a hotel, café, several shops, Post Office, butcher and a garage.

Little Gem lives up to its name, it is quiet, cosy, comfortably furnished and very thoughtfully equipped. It is also well placed for visiting the historic sites in the Scottish Borders - Melrose, Dryburgh and Jedburgh Abbeys, Abbotsford, Kelso, Flodden Field and many others. This was our second stay there, and we hope to return again.
