We only had one little thing, when you use the post code to get to the property it takes you to a different house, but the locals were so helpful and explained where I went wrong! Instead of following the track right the way round there is another track too the right as you head down it’s a bit rougher but it takes you to the right cottagewe had our dog with us Hamish and he had plenty of space in the well enclosed garden, the cottage is well equipped with some nice equipment, good size air fryer, Nespresso coffee machine with milk frother and a very generous amount of the coffee podsThe cottage itself is very clean and well presented, the cottage is well situated to the local amenities, the co-op, post office and the chip shop, fish and chips are excellent but here’s a wee tip phone ahead and order and pick your time to pick it up (cash only) I must thank the owner Donald for letting us stay an extra night as our sailing was cancelled on the Saturday just keep Donald informed as much as possible and he will help as much as he can.

We loved our visit, using South Uist as our base to explore the other islands. The house is in a perfect location at the end of the road so no passing traffic with a secure garden for a dog. If you are looking for a place that is quiet and peaceful, but still has a few local amenities nearby then this is for you. Close to the ferry terminal is ideal and a few shops in Daliburgh and Lochboisdale. We mostly spent our time at the nearby beaches on the west coast - mostly had them entirely to ourselves!
