Just had a lovely few days at The Old Forge. Mike and Dawn the hosts were very welcoming and we had everything we needed. The property has real character and was completed once we had the real fire going, very warm and cosy. A great place for walking through the forest which starts 50m away and also for visiting nearby towns of Llandeilo and Carmarthen. Nice quiet getaway, thank you.

Lovely cottage in rural Mid Wales. The hosts were very friendly and ensured we had all we needed and that we knew how things worked. Pub 2 minutes walk away, though opening times are limited, very well stocked community shop a 5 minute drive away. Lovely comfy sofas, ample TV channels & games & books provided.Lovely kitchen with all the equipment we needed.The bedding was beautiful, along with a comfy bed. Fantastic Christmas break for us as we no phone signal in the cottage, so no disturbances. Fantastic for our dog as right next door to Brechfa Forest, although some of the trails still closed we were able to go for a good walk. Hosts provided bowls, towels & blankets & even left a cracker for her!Overall, loved it, perfect break for us

When we arrived we were greeted by Dawn & Mike the owners who live next door, on entering the property it felt cosy and clean, a nice welcome pack of wine, cake and dog treats for our two fur babies, I went there to do my studying of dog communication, I needed peace & quiet and its exactly what I got,
