What can I say but fantastic, cottage was so cosy and immaculate. Dawn and Mike were brilliant hosts very knowledgeable of the area and places to visit.Kitchen was very well equipped and had everything to hand. Cottage was warm and cosy, bed linen was beautiful.Location was great for walks and our dog Maximus enjoyed his strolls and dips in the river when he came home he was 😔 Would highly recommend this cottage for a relaxing break. The Black Lion do a cracking Sunday lunch which we had as a takeaway option (our rottie would have eaten everyone's food ! Had we taken him there.

What a fantastic getaway!Me and the Mrs wanted somewhere peaceful and relaxing to celebrate her birthday, and this beautiful cottage was absolutely perfect. The location is outstanding — so peaceful, surrounded by beautiful countryside, yet with plenty of lovely villages, walks and castles nearby to explore.We brought our dog Henry with us and he absolutely loved it, especially the country walks and the stream by the cottage! All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay.The cottage itself is beautiful, cosy and really well equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing break. It’s also in such a beautiful part of the world with so much to see and explore.Mike and Dawn were lovely hosts and made us feel very welcome.We had a brilliant few days away and will definitely be returning in the future. Highly recommended!
