Thanks for having us, very happy to return and recommend.

This cottage is ideal and equipped for a short break, it is not suitable for a two week winter break over Christmas and the new year! The cottage was cold, electric radiators were either programed or controlled remotely to keep returning to lower temperature. This meant constantly having to turn them up manually. The cottage is listed as having a multi fuel fire, that's incorrect. It has a bioethanol burner that you poor liquid into that burns a small flame for 4hours. 2 bottles supplied =8hours of additional heat, for a two week stay. There was an electric fire that didn't give off much heat. We used the electric radiator most of the time to give us additional heat when needed. The duvet appeared to be summer weight and too thin for the winter with no additional blankets supplied. There is no wardrobe or hanging space. The stairs to the mezzanine level were offset ie left step then right step, but they aren't set up properly at the bottom and have a repeat of the stepping pattern making them dangerous, therefore your bags have to stay in the lounge area as there is nowhere else to put them. The kitchen was very lacking in equipment. We had brought weighing scales, blender etc with us luckily but we had to go out the day after our arrival to buy a potato masher, mixing bowls, a jug, oven dishes, foil trays, non stick frying pan etc. There does not seem much point having a nice rangemaster cooker with not enough pans to use the rings. No oven tray, no casserole dishes etc. Perfectly equipped for a weekend stay eating out, but not for a two week stay
