Enjoy a short stroll to the play barn and café which is perfect for younger children to let off some steam within the village or walk to the coast where you can build sandcastles, sunbath, go fishing or fly a kite.
This cottage has been renovated in 2021 to a very good standard throughout and boasts a hot tub and views of the ocean from the grounds of the property. Hafan Gwyn is situated within the grounds of the owner’s home, and offers a two-storey property, finished to a very good standard throughout, as you walk in to the open plan kitchen, dining and living room you instantly feel at home with vaulted ceilings to create light and space, and French doors leading out onto your enclosed garden and hot tub, here you can dine al fresco or enjoy a glass of wine from the tub and watch the plethora of stars. Each bedroom has been lovingly furnished throughout to ensure a good night’s sleep.
Aberporth is 5 minutes’ drive away and offers pubs, cafés and two stunning beaches, it’s the perfect destination to explore the three counties of west Wales being centrally located to Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, and Ceredigion. Travel south to the traditional market town of Cardigan, here the beautifully restored castle is not to be missed with 900 years of history to uncover. Enjoy a short walk into the village to discover the traditional Welsh pub or a freshly brewed coffee in the village café. There’s so much to explore in Cardigan Bay but if you want a day out to Pembrokeshire you can reach the well-known family attractions of Oakwood Theme Park and Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo within an hour’s drive. Beach 1 mile.

We had a wonderful week staying at Hafan Gwyn. From start to finish it was superb. The owners were very helpful, with the initial directions to the property, we found it straight away. When we got there, the house was extremely clean and the welcome hamper was greatly appreciated after a long journey. For the remainder of the week Dan and Hayley were on hand to help with anything but not encroaching on our holiday. The perfect hosts. The accommodation itself is to a very high standard and the kitchen is well equipped for cooking. The beds were really comfortable, we prefer firmer mattress’ and this is exactly what we got here. The hot tub was a great hit with the family, the kids loved it. It’s a really big hot tub, so comfortable for 6 people. The outside area is perfect for dogs as they can’t escape. The seats outside were lovely to enjoy a glass of wine and it was a nice clean area. Cardigan is close by (less than 10minutes drive) and there is a Tesco’s as soon as you get there, so perfect for food shopping. The roads around the house are quiet if needing a dog walk. A few cars back and forth to Mwnt beach but nothing major. There is so much to do in the area, you won’t be bored. In fact a week probably isn’t long enough! We will certainly be returning to the area and would keep this house in mind. Would highly recommend to anyone thinking of holidaying here. Thank you for a brilliant stay.

Fabulous cottage. Beautifully located close to Mwnt. Cardigan 20 mins away lovely shopping area and loads of nice places to eat. Dan the owner couldn’t do enough to ensure we had a wonderful stay. Very friendly. Amenities within the cottage were more than enough even supplied robes for exiting the hot tub which was an added bonus. Would definitely recommend this accommodation.

We have just returned from staying at this gem of an accommodation for my husbands 60th birthday.We had our dog with us and friends arrived to surprise him.The house was exceptional and we arrived to a welcome hamper with a birthday card for my husbands 60th from the hosts Dan and Hayley.Even Archie the dog had treats waiting for him.The house was lovely, immaculately clean and a great location for Mwnt beach and the surrounding area.We have witnessed amazing sunsets and sunrises and enjoyed the hot tub, that was cleaned daily.The only thing I would say is that the garden furniture is well used and in some places the Rattan was cracking but did not spoil our enjoyment of sitting out on it in the heat wave the country was experiencing at the time.
