A traditional stone detached cottage, in the heart of the popular village of Penrhiwllan which boasts a hugely popular pub and restaurant. This cottage is a perfect base for couples, families or friends looking to explore the fabulous West Wales undulating countryside and beautiful coastline peppered with sandy beaches and rugged coves, yet being a short walk from a local pub and some good food. Set over two floors, there are two cosy bedrooms and family bathroom. There is a light and airy well-equipped kitchen, which leads out into the welcoming garden and patio area. Completing the accommodation is an open plan sitting room with a warming woodburner and dining area, perfect for social evenings or cosying up in front of the TV. Outside, you can sit in the split level enclosed garden and enjoy the evening sunshine with a glass of something cold, whilst the dogs potter in peace. Penrhiwllan is equidistant between the riverside towns of Llandysul and Newcastle Emlyn, both quaint rural towns with Newcastle Emlyn on the River Teifi offering various restaurants, cafés and independent shops and a little haven for antique enthusiasts. You are perfectly placed to explore the beautiful coastline of Cardigan Bay, rich with wildlife and you may get the opportunity to catch sight of the famous dolphins, a seal and her pups or some fantastic birdlife. Visit fabulous sandy beaches such as the National Trust’s Penbryn, 10 miles or Mwnt 17 miles or pretty fishing villages such as Tresaith or Aberporth, 13 miles. The area offers numerous outdoor activities including dolphin and wildlife spotting boat trips, coasteering, white water canoeing and renowned fishing on the River Teifi, cycling in Brecha Forest, as well as being a short drive from the Preselli Hills, the Wales Coastal Path and Pembrokeshire National Park. For an unforgettable experience, perhaps take a boat trip to the stunning Skomer Island off the Pembrokeshire Coast, where at certain times of the year you can see seal pups or virtually walk with the puffins, within an hour and a half drive.
