Sitting above the River Dee amid the beautiful countryside of the Clwydian hills, this pretty cottage makes a wonderful base for friends or family and their four-legged companions. There are stunning walks and fun attractions nearby, and the cottage has an enclosed garden, a wood-burning hot tub and a BBQ, providing the ideal spot for al fresco evenings.
The cottage is warm and welcoming with inviting, contemporary interiors and traditional features with bags of character. Stepping into the lounge/diner, there’s a cosy wood burner and a Smart TV, and a dining table and chairs for enjoying mealtimes together. The contemporary kitchen has everything you need to cook great meals and there’s also a handy utility room with a washing machine and a separate WC on the ground floor. Upstairs are the two sumptuous bedrooms, a welcoming double room, and a triple room with bunkbeds (a double bed with an overhead single). You’ll also find a well-appointed shower room and a bathroom on this floor. Heading outside, the fully fenced garden has everything you need for a memorable evening, including a lawned area where the kids and pups can play, a hot tub with amazing views, outdoor furniture and a BBQ.
Head out and explore the beautiful countryside in the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley National Park, and wander along the local country lanes. You can go fishing on the River Dee nearby and visit the impressive Grade I-listed Pontcysyllte Aqueduct (7.5 miles). Take a ride on the steam train at Llangollen (3.5 miles) and explore the medieval fortress of Chirk Castle (8 miles) then pop to the local inn for a real ale (less than 150 metres away).
