Guests say

Gwynfa is a spacious and well-located bungalow in Rhyl, praised for its roomy layout, well-equipped kitchen, and proximity to local amenities. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds and large bathroom, making it a popular alternative to caravans. While the property is ideal for families and those visiting the area, some guests noted that the garden is not fully secure for dogs and that certain areas, particularly outside, could benefit from extra care and maintenance. Overall, it offers a convenient and comfortable base for exploring North Wales.

Opinions on cleanliness are mixed. Several guests found the property clean and tidy, while others reported issues such as crumbs, dust, and old bedding. Some mentioned the need for better cleaning, particularly under beds and in the kitchen. Overall, cleanliness is adequate but could be improved with more attention to detail.

The location is highly praised, with guests noting its convenience for shops, Rhyl town centre, and the coastal path. The property is considered ideal for visiting family and exploring the area, making it a strong point for most visitors.

Guests generally found the bungalow spacious and comfortable, with positive comments about the beds and living areas. However, some mentioned old or uncomfortable bedding and pillows, and a few noted the property could get hot at night. Overall, comfort is good but could be enhanced with updated bedding.

The bungalow is well-equipped, especially the kitchen and bathroom, and offers off-road parking. However, maintenance issues such as blown window seals, non-secure garden, and some broken furniture were noted. Facilities are generally good but would benefit from some updates and repairs.

Some guests mentioned the absence of a welcome pack or basic cleaning supplies, and there were no reports of gifts or extra touches. While the owners are described as responsive, the lack of thoughtful extras was noted. Please note that gifts or welcome packs are not guaranteed.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and, whilst the bungalow is fine for a short visit I don't think we will be returning. Cleanliness is the biggest issue and this is the only place I have stayed that doesn't even leave a dishcloth to wash up with - literally nothing to clean with once you've arrived. There were crumbs from the previous guests still on the dining table, so much old food in the sofa and the dust under the beds would probably fill a vacuum cleaner. The bed linens are all really old, tatty and tired, the quilts lumpy and the pillows flat and hard. Glad I brought my own bedding and towels so I didn't have to use theirs... Whilst the property welcomes dogs, you can't let your dog out into the rubbish strewn garden (more like a yard as it's all paved) as there is nothing to stop them wandering onto the road. The windows are all misted as the seals have blown so you can't see out and everything is just tired and tatty. Repairs reported in the visitor book back in April are still not done and some of the furniture is broken and unusable. It wouldn't take much to make this place amazing, but I don't think the owners care enough to make it somewhere you'd like to return to. Take your own towels, bed linen, a load of cleaning products and low expectations and you'll be fine. Arrive expecting a homely cottage with everything you need to make a stay pleasant and you'll be sorely disappointed.

Me and my brother enjoyed our stay in the bungalow. Close to everything we need . The host sorted out any issues we had quickly. The only issue was back garden not secure for the dog . But would stay again .
