Guests say

The Little White Cottage in North Wales & Snowdonia is highly praised for its cleanliness, stunning location, and comfort. Guests appreciate the thoughtful touches by the friendly hosts, including a welcome pack. The property is ideal for couples and dog owners, offering beautiful walks and a peaceful retreat. While most reviews are positive, a few guests noted the shared garden and proximity to another holiday let.

Guests consistently mention the spotless condition of the cottage, highlighting its cleanliness and well-maintained appearance. The attention to detail by the hosts, Dave and Trish, is frequently commended.

The cottage's location is celebrated for its tranquillity, beautiful scenery, and proximity to local walks and attractions. While some guests expressed a desire for closer amenities, the overall sentiment is that the location is ideal for a peaceful getaway.

Numerous reviews describe the cottage as cosy and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable bedding. The property is deemed perfect for two people, with a relaxing atmosphere.

The facilities, including a well-stocked kitchen, Wi-Fi, and laundry appliances, are generally well-received. However, a few guests mentioned limitations such as the shared garden and lack of mobile signal, slightly affecting the score.

The hosts' thoughtfulness is evident in the welcome packs provided, which often include home-baked cake, dog biscuits, and milk. While these gifts are warmly appreciated, it's important to note that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

While listed as “dog-friendly”, the rule that dogs cannot be left in the property is not stated on the Sykes listing. I was not aware, as I must have missed this in the email sent two weeks before, but I was informed and verbally reminded during the stay. This was difficult in hot weather, when it would have been safer and kinder to leave my dog indoors in front of a fan than take him out. The garden is shared and overlooked, and gardening work made me feel like I couldn’t comfortably sit outside, on a hot morning, I simply stayed indoors. Overall, it felt more like staying with someone rather than in a private cottage, which can be difficult given the shared drive and close proximity. Fine as a short-term base, but it would have been disappointing as a main holiday.
