Guests say

Red Cottage offers a truly peaceful and secluded getaway with breathtaking sea views, direct access to the Welsh coastal path, and a charming rustic atmosphere. Guests consistently praise the stunning location, comfortable beds, and the unique off-grid experience. While the cottage is basic and could benefit from some updates and maintenance, it remains well-equipped for a relaxing stay. The friendly local community and secure garden add to its appeal, making it ideal for nature lovers seeking tranquillity and simplicity.

Some guests noted issues with cleanliness on arrival, such as unmade beds and leftover items, but these were resolved promptly. Overall, the cottage is described as liveable and tidy after cleaning, though not spotless.

The location is repeatedly described as outstanding, peaceful, and scenic, with direct access to the beach and coastal path. Guests love the sea views, sunsets, and proximity to nature.

The beds are generally considered warm and comfortable, though some guests found them squeaky or too soft. The cottage is basic but cosy, with a good wood stove and hot shower.

Facilities are functional but dated, with some maintenance needed (e.g., wallpaper, old cooker, missing kitchen items). The coin-operated electricity meter is unusual but manageable. The cottage is well-equipped for a rustic stay.

There are no mentions of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

For those looking for a feeling of seclusion this is the place.Great base to explore the rest of the peninsula also.No Wifi and very limited signal at the property was one of our reasons for booking. The place is quant and old but everything works and you simply need to remember your 1 or 2 pound coins :-)When we arrived there was a storm and we missed some waypoints on the directions. The post office can be hard to spot late at night. Using what3words is the way to go, Waze is NOT :-)We'll be staying again when the opportunity arises.

The Red door cottage ,was lovely , fabulous location. Cottage was great.only thing i have to comment on is the beds, they where very squeeky everytime you moved. Apart from that would recommend staying there.

If you want peaceful, quiet and out of the way - this is it. Small cottage in a row of 3 literally 50yds to the beach steps. It has all you need - its basic, not brand new and very rustic cottage - absolutely outstanding for the price. Everything works perfectly and the double bed is soooo comfy!!! Sea views out of the front bedroom and lounge - I dont just mean a glimpse of sea, I mean panoramic and the sun sets right into of the cottage! Walk out of the front door and your on the Welsh costal path so nice walks aplenty. Its also on a short drive to local towns and the village itself has a really decent shop. I stayed for a week and only used £20 in the electric meter, despite having the heating on every evening and a bath every night! There is a lovely secluded terrace at the back which is great if the suns shining :-)
