About this property

Enjoying a sought-after position within North Wales is Ty Bach, a characterful terraced cottage set amidst the village centre of Llanberis, considered one of the most popular locations for exploring the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. With its exceptional location, flanked by the lakes of Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris and resting just moments away from the starting point for the ascent up the highest mountain in Wales, Ty Back is perfect for an active solo traveller or for a couple’s action-packed getaway. After a bracing day on the Welsh mountains, look forward to returning to the warmth of the cosy cottage and step into the living room with the woodburning stove set within the inglenook fireplace takes centre stage before the inviting sofa and the Smart TV. Joining the space is the dining tale, where you can settle down to relish in a home cooked dish or a local takeaway before pulling open the map to plan the next day’s hike, with the woodburning stove gently filling the room with warmth and setting the ambiance. Concluding the ground floor of the cottage is the kitchen, a fully-equipped space with everything to cater to your culinary needs, as well as a handy dishwasher and washing machine so that you barely have to lift a finger after a busy day exploring. When sleep calls, climb the staircase to discover the double bedroom, complete with an en-suite, featuring a walk-in shower, basin and WC. To the exterior, spend sunny afternoons with your partner or canine companion within the small yard to savour the sunshine, with something tasty cooking on the barbecue. However, for the evenings where you do not feel like cooking, take a short stroll to the high street within the village, where there is a selection of pubs and eateries, as well as shops for picking up any essentials. Don your walking boots and look forward to meandering around the Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris before taking on the challenge of climbing up the highest mountain in England and Wales, Mount Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) or enjoy the more leisurely option of a journey along the Snowdon Mountain Railway, taking you to the doorstep of the stunning Hafod Eryri Visitor Centre. More outdoor action can be found in the lakeside Padarn Country Park; there is everything here, from watersports to walking and wildlife to industrial heritage. Brush up on the local history by visiting Dolbadarn Castle before following the self-guided Llanberis Heritage Trails taking you to fascinating places around the village. For the adrenaline seekers amongst us, nearby Bethesda is home to Zip World Velocity, the longest zip wire in Europe and Blaenau Ffestiniog plays host to Zip World Titan, Zip Caverns and Bounce Below, all located at Llechwedd Slate Caverns and are all well worth a visit. The coastline is also within easy reach, where you will find a plethora of beaches, as well as Caernarfon with its magnificent castle and town walls. As well as the attractions of Penrhyn and Bodnant Gardens awaiting to be explored, the Isle of Anglesey is also within striking distance, making Ty Bach and exceptional base for an action-packed holiday.
