The lodge has the rare benefit of a large enclosed garden, along with decking and seating area to relax on after a day at the beach, which is walking distance away. Once inside you’re greeted by a very spacious open plan living space, there’s a quality leather corner sofa with oodles of space for all the family to relax and chat about the day. The two bedrooms have been furnished to a high standard to ensure you have a restful nights sleep, with quality mattresses and bedding, and one has its own en-suite toilet with sink.
Here you’re really in the heart of all North Wales has to offer, with lakes, coastal paths, Snowdonia and popular tourist towns all within easy reach. Dinas Dinlle beach is in walking distance from the lodge, with wonderful views across the bay to the Llyn Peninsula and Anglesey. Caernarfon Castle, an imposing unesco World Heritage site, is under 8 miles and where Prince Charles took his investiture. Venture just a little further and you have Pwllheli, Criccieth and Porthmadog, home to the Welsh Highland Railway. There’s something for all ages in this diverse region and it would certainly be a break to remember. Beach ½ mile.

Property itself is lovely with everything you need for your comfort. Out main issue was the hot tub which was not private or secluded which the blurb gave the impression of. It is completely overlooked by a children's play park belonging to the caravan park that surrounds the property. We chose this property also because we have a reactive dog thinking it was private but again the children playing on the play park set her off. If we had known about the caravan park and the play park we wouldn't have booked. The steps down to the garden I agree with other reviews needs a rail and as our dog is little was worried she would just run off the decking not using the steps. The rutted road down to the property is a little more than rutted and set all the sensors off on the car and also could hear the grass running down the middle scraping the bottom and sides of the car, definitely needs some attention. All this said the property is lovely just not for us with the lack of privacy . The area and beach around it is amazing. All the little touches for the dog and welcome pack were brilliant and appreciated.

Spent two weeks at the nest 31st july to 14th august with my husband and cockapoo Ted the place was clean and the welcime pack was good. It had a large garden for Ted but unfortunately there was no handrail down the steps so i could not get down (I have ankylosing spondylosis and my Husband has to rely on a walking stick). The bedrooms were very small but had ample storage space. The shower had good flow and kept its temperature and having two toilets was a bonus. Unfortunately I took bad and had to ring 111 who were very good and got me an urgent appointment at the small cottage hospital but it was unable to take bloods do scans etc but the doctor reassured me it was just part of the disease I have and nothing more sinister was going on . The local italian did takeaway meals and they were very good but did not think much to the fish and chip shop! The route to the cottage was horrendous and very bumpy all in all an average stay and would not stay again!!.

We had a fabulous break at Y Nyth from Friday 12th - Monday 15th June. It was a little holiday to celebrate my birthday and Jill and David (the owners) make it extra special with a card and birthday cake. On top of that there was a welcome pack containing bread, milk, eggs,butter, jam and other tasty treats. Extremely dog friendly accommodation, including dog treats and a secure garden, my 3 dogs settled very quickly, it's in a quiet and peaceful spot. The added bonus of a hot tub made it extra special. There's a lovely dog friendly beach up the lane, a cafe, chippy, shop and Italian. 15 drive minutes away if you fancy an Indian or Chinese. The information pack has lots of ideas of places to go, but is also a perfect retreat to just chill and relax. We were blessed with wonderful weather during our stay. 100% recommendation from us.
