Ganarew Cottage is generally praised for its cleanliness, spaciousness, and well-equipped nature, offering a comfortable stay in a picturesque setting. The property is well-suited for family gatherings and is appreciated for its quiet village location, despite some mentions of noise from a nearby road and adjacent care home. Guests have enjoyed the local walks and the convenience of nearby towns. Some minor maintenance issues and updates are suggested, but overall, the cottage receives positive feedback for its charm and amenities.
Reviews consistently mention the property being clean, with only a few minor comments about specific items needing attention, such as a mouldy shower mat. The overall impression is that the cottage maintains a high standard of cleanliness.
The location is appreciated for its picturesque surroundings and proximity to local attractions. However, some guests noted the presence of noise from the nearby A40 and the care home laundry, which slightly impacted the tranquillity expected from a rural cottage.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the living spaces ample for relaxation and family gatherings. Some reviews suggest the need for additional or updated furniture to enhance comfort further.
The property is well-equipped with a kitchen, games room, and washing facilities, but some guests reported issues with lighting, Wi-Fi, and a lack of certain kitchen items. Maintenance concerns, such as non-working lamps and the need for more crockery, suggest room for improvement.

Beautifully furnished throughout to provide contemporary, spacious, high-quality accommodation, Ganarew Cottage is perfect for friends and family who wish to spend time in this stunning part of the country. The four sumptuous bedrooms all offer views of the countryside, the master of which has the added benefit of en-suite facilities, plus a small nursery room next door. The owner's attention to detail is evident throughout the cottage, with a very well-equipped kitchen and a large sitting room with exposed stone walls and ceiling beams, original stone-flagged floors, luxurious sofas and a warming woodburning stove. Outside is a lovely enclosed cottage garden, complete with seating and a barbecue, ideal for alfresco dining in the summer, or simply relaxing with a refreshing drink.
