Yew Tree Barn in Usk is a spacious and beautifully decorated barn conversion, praised for its peaceful rural setting, accessibility, and well-equipped kitchen. Guests highlight the comfort of the beds, the suitability for wheelchair users, and the lovely outdoor space for both people and pets. The property is warm and welcoming, with thoughtful touches such as heating on arrival. While most reviews are very positive, a few mention minor maintenance issues and driveway visibility. Overall, guests found it an excellent place for a relaxing break and would happily return.
Most guests found the property clean and tidy, with several positive mentions. However, one review reported cleanliness issues on arrival, including dirty appliances and bathroom fittings, which affected the overall score.
The rural location is widely praised for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and proximity to Usk and local amenities. Some guests noted the driveway's limited visibility onto a busy lane, but this did not detract significantly from the overall positive impression.
Guests consistently mention comfortable beds, spacious interiors, and suitability for guests with mobility needs. A few noted that the sofas could be more comfortable, but overall comfort is highly rated.
The barn is well-equipped, especially the kitchen and accessible bathroom. Guests appreciated the log burner, outdoor space, and thoughtful accessibility features. Some minor maintenance issues (e.g., noisy shower, damaged window) were mentioned but did not dominate the feedback.
Several guests appreciated small touches such as heating on arrival, refreshments, and biscuits, though these are not guaranteed. Communication was generally good, but a few guests experienced issues with deposits and initial contact.
