Caban Y Mor is highly praised for its cleanliness, stunning location, and comfort. Guests appreciate the thoughtful welcome packs and the proximity to the beach and a friendly pub. While some minor issues with facilities are noted, the overall experience is very positive, with many looking forward to returning.
The property consistently receives high marks for cleanliness, with numerous guests describing it as spotless and immaculate. This suggests a well-maintained and cared-for rental.
The location is frequently lauded for its sea views and proximity to the beach and a pub. It's described as peaceful and perfect for walks, contributing to a high score. However, some guests mentioned a lack of phone signal, slightly impacting the score.
Comfort is generally well-regarded, with mentions of a cosy atmosphere and comfortable fittings. However, there are a few remarks about an uncomfortable mattress and the metal staircase not being pet-friendly, which slightly lowers the score.
Facilities are well-received, with smart TVs and a secure patio for dogs. Some guests suggested improvements like hooks for towels and instructions for appliances, indicating room for enhancement in maintenance.
Guests frequently mention welcome packs, which indicates a high level of thoughtfulness. However, as these gifts are subject to change and not guaranteed, the score reflects the positive sentiment while acknowledging the variability.
Enjoying far-reaching views over Amroth beach, Caban Y Mor is a delightful choice for those seeking a seaside escape. Just a mile from the bustling village of Saundersfoot, this attractive lodge has been lovingly restored to provide a contemporary home for families and couples. Accessed by a set of external stairs, step into the bright and airy open plan living space, comprising off all the essentials required for a short break. Allow the chef of the group to get acquainted in the kitchen, making use of the integrated appliances to prepare a picnic for the next day’s beach adventure, or even a heart-warming evening meal. Gather for your home-cooked treats at the dining table, before sinking into the sofa and browsing the Smart TV for your favourite series. As you tire, head to either the double and twin bedroom, both neatly presented with white bed linen, and housing ample storage for your personal items. Begin each morning with a refreshing shower before stepping onto the private patio, sipping a fresh coffee as you take in golden splendour. If you don’t feel like cooking, then just a moment’s walk away lies the New Inn pub, serving a traditional pub menu and Sunday lunch, whilst further eateries can be found down the road, including the Amroth Arms, The Smugglers Bar & Grill and the Templebar Inn. Meander along the beauty of the Pembrokeshire coast, where you will find a magnitude of glorious beaches as well as the coastal path where dolphins can be spotted. Once you have enjoyed the scenic views, visit the charming seaside resort of Tenby, with its ancient walls, award-winning beaches and boat trips to the monastic Caldey Island, home to more than a thousand years of prayer and quiet living. Other attractions in the surrounding area include the vintage fun fair at Folly Farm. Enjoy a memorable break in one of Wales’ most glorious settings along the Pembrokeshire coast.
Saundersfoot has always been a firm favourite for holidaymakers over the years and this continues to be the case as generations of families re-visit each year brining children and grandchildren along. Within the village there are several shops, pubs and restaurants, while the picturesque harbour provides excellent sailing and fishing opportunities. There is also a stunning, sandy Blue Flag beach which is perfect for sunbathing, whilst walkers can explore along the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coast Path.
