The location of this charming historical property couldn’t be better for nature lovers, with the Taff Trail passing right alongside it and the majestic national park all around it. You’ll be 1 mile from three welcoming pubs, where you can enjoy a pint and some dinner on nights you don’t fancy cooking. With its six bedrooms, this charming accommodation is excellent for a multigenerational family holiday or holiday of cycling, hiking or horse-riding friends.
Retaining much of its original charm, this beautifully converted barn features lovely exposed beams and stone cart arches for a quirky appearance. When you’re tired from all that walking, biking and chatting, relax with a glass of wine in the spacious living room, where comfy leather sofas and a wood burner create a cosy atmosphere for group gatherings. There’s also an additional snug area and a dining room with space for 12. The well-equipped kitchen has a large double oven so you can cater for everyone easily. At the rear of the house, the lawned garden is the dream for children who want to play out together. Garden furniture and a BBQ are available for summer evenings, so you can dine alfresco with a backdrop of stunning views over the Brecon Beacons.
Nearby, you can access the popular town of Brecon by walking 2 miles along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal Path. This bustling town is perfect for day trips, with its cafés, restaurants and independent shops – not to mention the cinema and theatre where you may catch a show if the timing is right. Keen hikers will want to challenge themselves to the trek up to Pen-y-Fan (4.5 miles), which you can see from your back garden, while Llangorse Lake (5 miles) is excellent for paddleboarding and boating in the summer.
