With plenty of space for up to six guests, the sympathetically updated retreat has a range of individual features including timber beams, exposed stonework and a lovely wood burner. Guests are welcome to explore the grounds where you will have access to the tennis court, wild meadows, beautiful gardens and a stretch of the River Usk perfect for fly fishing - with a tour of the historic mansion available between March and September.
Accessed via a gated courtyard, this delightful stone cottage features an airy and spacious lounge with a wood burner set in an impressive inglenook alongside a Smart TV and traditional beams. The ground floor also offers a handy shower room, a sleek kitchen and a handsome dining room with picture windows overlooking the estate grounds. Upstairs, the first floor has a generous furnished landing, a useful office space, a stylish family bathroom and a choice of three characterful beamed bedrooms: a sweet twin for children, and two charming king-size rooms. Outside, a tranquil brook runs along the bottom of the large back garden which has plenty of space for relaxation, with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. You will also have access to the banks of the Usk, perfect for angling and wild swimming, alongside the meadows and tennis court.
The thriving market town of Brecon (6.5 miles) is home to a magnificent cathedral, historic buildings and the Royal Welsh Regimental Museum. Exploring the stunning landscapes of the magical Brecon Beacons National Park, highlights include Llangorse Lake, Cefn Llechid, Pen y Fan and the National Showcaves Centre for Wales, all within 13 miles.
