A beautifully presented holiday cottage - perfect for a relaxing break. Well equipped and very friendly owners. Didn’t have the opportunity to use the garden area with amazing views due to the weather but it is a great space.

Although we have scored it as average for local amenities this is because the cottage is in a very small village and the nearest shops etc are about 7 or 8 miles away in Brecon and Builth Wells. We really liked the quietness and lack of traffic/people and the fact that it is possible to walk from the cottage up a track to the Epynt Way which must be one of the quietest but really beautiful parts of the Brecons. The owners are very friendly and helpful and we would be happy to return.

The Carthouse is in a lovely hamlet, very well provisioned with all that you need. The hosts Nigel and Caroline are super friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The peace and quiet is extraordinary including the wildlife being a constant source of wonder. It is quite remote however once you get your bearings it is perfect. Highly recommended.
