It is on the edge of a village, set on an ancient medieval farmstead where there are endless walking trails and cycle rides within easy reach. Hay-on-Wye is the nearest town, just 1.5 miles across the River Wye. Beyond that the cathedral town of Brecon is 12 miles away, a good place for a stop en-route to the larger Beacons and Pen y Fan, the largest peak. The city of Hereford with its impressive Cathedral is 20 miles away. Things to do in the area include walking, cycling, pony trekking and those who prefer to paddle on the water will enjoy the close proximity to the River Wye & River Usk, also a highlight for fishermen. You could also explore the spectacular waterfalls in the National Park and there is also a local gliding centre should you prefer to see the area from the air.
