This delightful semi-detached cottage, set in the beautiful village of Glangrwyney, is ideal for couples, families or friends looking for an active holiday in the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) National Park. You are well placed for visits to the historic town of Abergavenny (4 miles), full of shops, pubs, restaurants, and cafes.
Enter this characterful two-storey cottage, which offers a blend of old-world charm in its exposed beams and plenty of contemporary comforts that ensure a memorable stay. Pass through the handy boot room, where you can kick off your shoes and head into the open-plan kitchen with all the necessary appliances to make cooking hearty meals a breeze. There is a breakfast bar that leads through to the open-plan dining room and then into a gorgeous sunroom with doors out to the garden. Through an inner hallway and down one step is the cosy lounge, with comfortable sofas, a Smart TV, and a warming wood burner for the cooler months. Upstairs, there is a bathroom and two bedrooms, one with a four-poster king-size bed and en-suite shower room and one twin. Head outside to enjoy the enclosed gardens with a patio area, a small stream, and a lawned space beyond. Children should be supervised due to the stream within the grounds.
Attractions in the area include the World Heritage Site of Blaenavon (7.5 miles), known for its industrial heritage and home to Blaenavon Iron Works, The Big Pit National Coal Museum, and a heritage railway. For a great day of indoor and outdoor activities, head to Llangorse Multi Activity Centre (11 miles). Nearby Crickhowell (1 mile) is a great base for walking, canoeing, cycling, or fishing. For keen hikers, the highest point in the National Park, Pen y Fan (19.5 miles), is waiting to be climbed.
