A semi-detached cottage close to the village of Llanwrthwl, offering comfortable accommodation for a family or a group of friends who wish to enjoy a riverside position. There are two bedrooms at this Mid Wales cottage, with an additional single bed on the first floor landing. The enclosed lawned garden overlooking the River Wye is perfect for enjoying dining alfresco. This cosy Rhayader cottage is ideal for a holiday in a lovely rural location. Note: This cottage can be booked with Refs. 22182, 22183 and 22184 to sleep 16 people.
The village of Llanwrthwl sits on the River Wye between Builth Wells and Rhayader. Llanwrthwl is home to a small shop and church which is home to a prehistoric standing stone. Rhayader is three miles away and has shops, restaurants, pubs and a leisure complex.

The layout is an odd one. The kitchen is tiny, two people could not pass! The sitting room and bathroom are a good size, although access to the garden through the bathroom is unusual and potentially embarrassing for anyone using it! The garden is excellent and is very pleasant sitting by the river. Both bedrooms are a good size, although the en-suite toilet is tiny and the double bed mattress could do with replacement. Parking is fine, however, if all cottages were occupied it might be a bit tight. There is a nice walk along the river and an excellent hill to climb just over the (busy) road, although the path is completely overgrown in September (& some other months too I expect). Overall, happy with it, the owner was friendly and helpful.
