We had a lovely holiday staying in The Retreat mini lodge at Daisy Bank. So much so I have booked to go back later in the year. The lodge was nicely decorated, cosy and was equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The bed was comfy and shower had good pressure, plus there was under floor heating if needed etc.The park itself was very well maintained and very tranquil being a smaller sized privately owned park rather than a big commercial one, plus is adult only. There were a few lodges, camping pods and the mini lodge for rental and some other privately owned lodges but not too many and well spaced out with private parking by each. There were a couple of separate fields for campers/tourers but they were located a different side to us so we couldn't even see them. There was a fab view from the lodge.Nikki one of the owners greeted us on arrival even though we arrived later than planned after the reception had closed. She was very welcoming and friendly, plus easily contactable and approachable re: any questions or had any problems arose. There was also a friendly approachable guy who manned the reception whilst we were there and also helped keep the park shipe-shape. The park is in a good location to get to various nearby towns for shopping visits etc plus the larger town of Shrewsbury was easy to get to just over the border. There was a small shopping centre at Church Stoke nearby which had a large co-op, cafe, etc. It also has a nice charity boot fair on Sundays which we went to. The surroundings are beautiful, can't wait to return!
