Originally a public house, this property offers guest comfortable accommodation while retaining the charm of the country inn. The property includes an enclosed garden and full use of a private hot tub. Montgomery Castle is literally a short walk away. The Offa’s Dyke National Trail runs close to the town, providing a good excuse to get your boots on and head off for a walk, with vineyards and home-made ice cream suppliers nearby.
Guests are also very close to the National Trust properties Powys Castle, Chirk Castle, Erddig and Attingham Park. The Welshpool to Llanfair steam railway, Montgomery Canal and Lake Vyrnwy are all local and well worth a visit. Quad biking, paintballing and horse riding are all available locally, and watersports can be found at Bala Lake and in Llangollen, a 40-minute drive. Historic Shrewsbury is a 30-minute drive away, while within easy driving distance there is also Welshpool and Newtown all of which host a wide range of bars, shops and restaurants, and the west Wales coastline is approximately an hour’s drive away.

Fabulous cottage. 6 women on a girls weekend and the cottage was perfect. Beautifully presented and quirky too. We felt we were on a night out in a local pub with the bar, snooker table and dartboard. Lovely log burner and a beautiful open plan kitchen that had everything we needed to cook and eat like Kings 🤴 😋. Been to loads of larger cottages with these ladies and another mixed group that have now been cottaging for over 13 years. This was up there with the best!Didn't need to get in the car once and had lovely walks from the door. Couldn't fault it and will definitely be going back.

Absolutely perfect stay here. Check in was easy and plenty of parking. The Airbnb is warm, comfortable, clean and has everything you need. Location is brilliant, in a lovely town with local walks and plenty of places to visit. Couldn’t fault and would highly recommend.
