Guests say

Guests consistently praise 'The Rhiw' for its stunning views, privacy, and cleanliness. The hot tub is a highlight, offering relaxation amidst beautiful scenery. The property is well-equipped, providing a comfortable and peaceful stay. While some minor issues with Wi-Fi stability and hot tub maintenance are noted, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.

Reviews frequently commend the property for its cleanliness, with several guests describing it as spotless. There is a single mention of the hot tub not being overly clean initially, but this seems to be an isolated incident.

The location is celebrated for its gorgeous views and peacefulness, contributing to a relaxing atmosphere. However, some guests note the need to drive to access shops and attractions, which slightly impacts the convenience aspect.

Comfort is highly rated, with guests finding the beds comfy and the property well-equipped for a pleasant stay. A suggestion for a fan during warmer weather indicates room for improvement in temperature management.

Facilities are generally well-received, especially the hot tub and smart TV. However, there are comments about Wi-Fi issues, suggestions for better lighting outdoors, and some concerns about hot tub maintenance, which affect the score.

The hosts are noted for their thoughtfulness, with mentions of welcome gifts such as Prosecco and flowers. It should be noted that while these gestures are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

It is a thriving town built around The Church of St Mary, with a Post Office, two supermarkets, and a selection of three different pubs. The annual Llanfair Caereinion Carnival is very popular with locals, and proceeds through the town with a full parade of floats and dancing troupes, providing a Rio carnival atmosphere. There is a river walk along the banks of the Banwy leading to an Arboretum, containing over 25 different species of British trees, an ideal place to explore before stepping back in time and jumping on the start of the narrow gauge heritage steam railway that runs 8.5 miles west to Welshpool. Welshpool nestles into the upper reaches of the picturesque Severn Valley near the border between Wales and England. This bustling market town is surrounded by rolling hills and glorious unspoilt countryside. There's a unique blend of shops offering arts & crafts, fashion & leisure, fresh produce, and quality pubs and restaurants, as well as the town centre’s restored cock fighting pit and interesting Heritage Trail. We were greeted upon arrival and the host was lovely and welcoming. The pod was well stocked and cozy. The smart TV was an added bonus! Everything was super clean and tidy and the hottub was amazing with beautiful views and even though it was close to the hosts home, it was very private. It is in an isolated area, however there are lots of things to do with only a short drive. Overall, we had such a relaxing weekend away and we would definitely recommend the Rhiw.

Very clean. Hosts leave you to enjoy your stay but are close enough to be on hand if needed. Lovely views. On clear nights you see shooting stars! Wouldn't be suitable for anyone with any mobility issues as the stairs are a work out but I loved that it was high up and out of the way!

Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again.
