When sleep calls, freshen up in the shower room, before settling down for the night into one of the two well-presented bedrooms, choosing between a double and a bunk room. Bala is a simply wonderful location offering incredible scenery and places to explore right from your doorstep. The town itself houses shops, pubs, and eateries for you to browse at your leisure, as well as riverside walks and access to Llyn Tegid. From here, guests can enjoy watersports activities in the sunshine and picnics on the banks of the lake, overlooking the mountains beyond. Scenic countryside tours can be enjoyed from Bala Lake Railway, whilst action-packed activities can be enjoyed at Canolfan Tryweryn National White Water Centre and Zip World.
Trails through the countryside include those at Rhiwagor Waterfall and the Cwm Cynfal viewpoint, and further afield, Snowdon itself. There is so much waiting to be explored with a stay at Hill View.
The bustling market town of Bala lies within the beautiful Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park and is located at the head of Llyn Tegid, Bala’s famous lake, which is the largest natural lake in Wales and home to a unique fish called the Gwyniad, a relic of the Ice Age. Renowned as a centre for great watersports including fishing, sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and whitewater rafting, Bala is also the headquarters of the narrow gauge Bala Lake Railway. The town itself is steeped in history and has a range of interesting shops, inns and restaurants, and an historical Town Walk. Surrounded by the wonderful Berwyn Mountains on one side and the beautiful Eryri (Snowdonia) Mountain Range on the other, this is a mecca for climbing, walking, mountain biking and many other outdoor activities. An ideal location for touring all of North and Mid Wales including the stunning Cambrian Bay Coast with the six-mile long Harlech Beach, overlooked by its majestic medieval castle.
