Bedroom 2: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds.

Electric central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Doggy extras. Enclosed back garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times outside of the cottage and garden (sheep country). No smoking. Please note: There are 6 steps in the garden. There are open stairs at the property.. Inside, the open-plan lounge and kitchen area provide a cosy setting, with a charming log burner that promises snug evenings after a day of adventure. The kitchen is thoughtfully equipped, ensuring you have everything needed to prepare hearty meals. The lounge, with its comfy seating, invites you to relax and unwind. The cottage also boasts a delightful rear garden, where you can enjoy morning coffee or evening stargazing, as the village is in a certified ’dark sky’ area, allowing for a clear view of the night sky and stars. On a clear night the view of the sky is stunning, and the moonlight can be strong enough to provide light for a midnight trek up Snowdon. A gate at the garden’s rear leads directly to the popular, scenic Rhyd Ddu Path a few steps away, or alternatively towards the Snowdon Ranger’s Path, both offering exhilarating routes up Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon). There are numerous other mountain walks straight from the cottage, including Mynedd Mawr and the Nantlle Ridge, the Snowdonia slate trail, and walks on lower ground through the Beddgelert Forest, making it an ideal haven for hiking enthusiasts.

The surrounding area is rich withattractions. The Welsh Highland Railway running from Porthmadog to Caernarfon stops at the Rhyd Ddu station, only 150 metres away from the cottage, where you can experience a delightful journey on one of the WHR steam trains. Nearby, Beddgelert is a picturesque village, renowned for its stone cottages, charming riverside setting, and lush surroundings. The multi-use recreational path from Rhyd Ddu to Beddgelert, Lon Gwyrfrai, leads though a variety of landscapes offering fantastic views of the surrounding area. Beddgelert village is steeped in legend, including the tale of Gelert’s grave, and visitors can enjoy scenic walks by the rivers, welcoming pubs, and craft shops, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers and history enthusiasts alike.

    Great little cottage in a perfect setting right under Snowdon and in beautiful scenic surroundings ! Cosy and comfortable with a great garden leading straight out onto walking paths and out the front onto the popular route to Beddgelert through the forest. 20 mins drive to a perfect clean beach Grugfan cottage is a gem

    The cottage was very comfortable and was extremely well equipped. The garden was kept beautifully and led straight out onto one of the paths to Snowdonia, with lots of lovely sheep and lambs right the by gate. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom modern. Owe would definitely stay again.

    We had a lovely week at this cottage over Easter. Had everything we needed and was cosy and comfortable. Loads of walks and a short drive to vist local attractions. Climbed Snowdon via the rangers path and views were amazing. Local pub had good food and staff were friendly . Good local bus service if you don't want to drive ideal base for walkers and for anyone wanting to experience Snowdon and North Wales.
