  Perfect in every way!

  I booked this cottage without paying much attention to where, in Wales, it was! My main priority was having an enclosed garden in a place we could relax in and take our two dogs. Coed y Glyn proved to be this.. and so much more. Set in beautiful countryside with a warm village feel, we enjoyed it all immensely and Llanuwchylin station was amazing - like stepping back in time. Definitely worth booking a trip up to Bala. The village also has a lovely pub, y Eagle, with fabulous food which also served as a village shop. The staff were lovely and helpful when we initially couldn’t find anywhere to sit (booking strongly recommended) The cottage itself is warm, comfy and very well fitted out. The owners are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Not that we needed anything, but we felt we could just “ask” at any time. Sadly our 4 day visit was over too quickly so we will just HAVE to return.

  Gorgeous little unique property - perfect basecamp for those that want to go off an explore Snowdonia!

  Loved having outside space and log burner to return 'home' to after a long day of walking Hosts were wonderful, and even let us know when the property was available for us to check in - which was earlier than expected, so that was a lovely bonus! The property is beautiful - decorated and styled in a modern way, without losing touch with it's heritage and history The only small issue I can see with this property ( And it's not an easy fix for the owners) is the damp/mould (which is bound to come with this size and age of property). It wasn't too much of an issue for us, but for example, if you have a mould allergy (my mum does) I would probably avoid this property in the wetter/damper months ( which unfortunately has been the whole year!)

  Cottage was nicely decorated and size was as expected so while small we were aware of this in advance.

  We found the bed in the main bedroom to be too small and soft so pretty uncomfortable, edges of the mattress were particularly soft so felt like we would fall out of bed every time we moved. A firmer mattress would help. There was a problem with damp in the cottage - which the owner is clearly aware of and trying to mitigate with moisture absorbing remedies and a small dehumidifier but they're not really adequate. We were lucky to have dry, warm weather for our stay but still found anything paper felt damp. It would also be helpful to have one empty cupboard or at least a shelf to store food in the kitchen as, apart from the fridge, there was nowhere to store the small amount of food we brought so it was all on the kitchen counter and all week.

  We enjoyed the best time while staying at this absolutely delightful cottage in Llanuwchllyn.

  There was nothing the owner hadn't thought of. The friendly comfortable interior was so inviting and the quirky terraced garden was just perfect, for us and our two Spaniels. The quality of the beds and bedding was superb as were the towels etc that were provided in the bathroom. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and very spacious. John and Gail were both really friendly and very helpful. Would definitely stay again if/when in that beautiful part of Wales. There is still so much to see and do.   The cottage is perfect.

  The owner went out of his way to ensure my stay was as comfortable and stress free as possible. He is super friendly, approachable and made sure I had his number should I require anything. Having said that, the cottage is so well equipped, even providing a fab set of books for both kids and adults, that I didn’t require anything! Almost forgot to mention, a lovely bottle of Merlot, cakes and even treats provided in a dog bowl for my little dog were awaiting our arrival. Definitely a 5* experience and I’m going back…
