  Overall a nice property, but the long access road is problematic to negotiate due to the numerous potholes.

  The accommodation could be better if a few things were attended to…..the front door lock needs attention as it’s really difficult to open from either side. The outside table/chairs and decking area have seen better days & weren’t particularly clean. The decking was strewn with leaves on arrival (for info, the outside space wasn’t secure for our little dog). We had to buy some items to make our stay more comfortable….a kettle (the one provided was unusable with a jammed lid), a broom to clear the decking, a clothes airer as there was a washing machine but nowhere to hang wet laundry during our 2 week stay, an anti-slip mat for the bath/shower and a set of coat hangers for the hooks in the second bedroom (there’s no wardrobe). There appears to be a hornets nest in the roof adjoining the neighbouring property (they kept coming inside and we eventually worked out where they were coming from). On one occasion we had 6 inside so had to be careful about opening the windows/patio doors & kept them mostly shut, which was very uncomfortable in the hot weather & affected our enjoyment of the holiday. The wifi and phone signals are intermittent, which we knew about anyway & it didn’t particularly bother us. The allocated parking is in an area adjacent to the complex, rather than outside the property. On the plus side, the beds are comfy, it’s clean & spacious inside, in a good location with nice views of the golf course and in a sunny position if you’re lucky enough to have good weather.

  The Threshing barn is set in a lovely village location perfect for anyone wanting a peaceful holiday. It is about 20 minutes to Truro and Falmouth and also to Porthtowan beach, where you can book surfing lessons and there are cafes/restaurants, beach shops and toilets. As a family of 4 (children aged 15 and 12) the size of the barn was ideal and with 2 bathrooms there were no arguments! I would suggest some hooks to be added in the bathrooms for dressing gowns/ towels to be hung. There were plenty of coat hangers in the wardrobes. Beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped!The outside space is lovely and well-maintained, the patio area has seating and a BBQ - unfortunately the weather didn't permit us to enjoy the outdoor area! There is also two car spaces and a games room with a table tennis table, this area is shared with the cottage on the grounds. We had an issue with the oven the day after we arrived and customer services were very efficient and it was sorted the next working day and It didn't stop us from having a wonderful holiday at the Threshing Barn.

  We booked a 2 week stay at "Armando" based on it's location and how good it looked on the Sykes website.

  We were so pleased with our choice. "Armando" is set in a lovely, quiet location but only a couple of minutes off the A39. The house is high spec and was really well presented. Easy off road parking with simple entry and exit to the house. We had no problems during our stay but Keith & Linda , the owners, were only a text away in the event of any issues. We also received a very informative email from Keith a few days in advance. Location is second to none. Falmouth and Truro are only around 15 minutes away. Other favourites of ours, Padstow, Fowey, Mevagissey and Looe are all within easy reach. Very dog friendly, with some nice local walks, our Cockerpoo, Barney, found it to be a home from home. We definitely recommend "Armando" and would readily return in the future. We give "Armando" a well deserved 10/10. It was the best holiday rental we have stayed in.   The holiday cottage is very expensive for what it provided once I had seen it in the flesh to other one I had used on your site this year, there are not enough sufficient wardrobes in the rooms 2 and 3 or chest of drawers in the main bedroom 1.

  The small bedroom mattress is extremely uncomfortable and needs replacing completely. No tv's in the bedrooms for when guests want private time in their rooms. The settees were to low and short for the men in our group as they were both over 6ft tall. On the website it said 1 km to Falmouth, but it was 3.5 miles, I was hoping to walk into Falmouth Town in around 20 minutes, but you could only do the pond at Swan pool in that time one way. Very misleading info on your site. The weather wasn't brilliant no one faults but we were not able to do a beach sort of holiday. There were quite a few problems with the house itself, which I left a note for the lovely cleaning ladies on leaving. The plus points quite to sleep at night the week we were there.

  The cottage was really lovely, in a great area, really cosy and it felt very homely to us. The terrace, although it only had a slight view of the sea, was lovely to sit at in the morning and was a real sun trap. The bedroom was cosy, and the kitchen was relatively well equipped. The showers were very small, but in such a small place it is the best available option. Unfortunately, despite general cleanliness, there were heaps of dog hairs around the whole cottage, especially in the bedroom. Although this was a slight annoyance to us, it would be far from ideal for somebody with an allergy. The cottage was very close to the harbour, with a maximum 5 minute walk to the furthest pub. Overall, we had a really lovely stay, and we would definitely return.
