What our customers say about their holidays

In short, the cottage requires a very thorough deep clean.
It was filthy dirty and full of cobwebs, mould and rust. The toilet roll holder in the downstairs toilet is full of rust (as was the tin opener in the kitchen). There are bits of skirting missing, four spices completely out of date (one was 2021!). Someone called 'Emily' has written her name on the wall at the downstairs banister point (LH side), the bathroom medicine cabinet is shabby and is showing mirror degradation, the wardrobe in the single room was jammed open, the ceiling and wallpaper in that room are peeling off (the ceiling very considerably), the dressing table in that room is marked. There is a lot of damp showing in the cottage, the worst of which is in the double bedroom - the wall near the small window is disgusting with it and all the silicone is mouldy. The kitchen sink has mould all over the silicone, and so has the shower grout in the downstairs facilities. The shower curtain is also full of mould. There is also mould in the living room. There are cobwebs in the cooker between the glass in the bottom door. There is NO way any of us would stay again. The damp and the mould affected me within 24hrs and cleared by the end of Sunday after getting home. If the owners wish to see pictures to explain the above, I am happy to share them. I would not have posted in this vein if it had not affected the enjoyment of our holiday, but it did. I felt very responsible as it was I who had booked on behalf of us and our friends.

Great stay in a beautiful location.
We really enjoyed our stay at Kenfig Farm, and the weather was great â all sunshine and no rain. There is lots of space inside, with a well-stocked kitchen, log burner, comfy beds, and a fabulous bath. The location is stunning, and the property has fantastic views over Kenfig pool, the dunes and sea. The house is set back from the road, not overlooked, and has a nice garden with picnic tables. Itâs also wonderful to watch and hear all the birds â including the noisy and delightful nesting sparrows! The owners are friendly and helpful and have left lots of information for guests, as well as books, maps, leaflets and details of the history of the village and farm. (We also had milk in the fridge and some yummy Welsh cakes left for us on arrival, which was a nice extra â thank you!) There are amazing walks on the doorstep, and the golden sand beaches here are stunning. (There are lots more beaches and walks within a short drive too.) The Prince of Wales pub is just a minuteâs walk away and the Sunday roast there is highly recommended! We also enjoyed a nice meal at the nearby Angel Inn. If youâre looking for a peaceful, relaxing break, close to the sea and nature, Kenfig Farm ticks the boxes.

A lovely 3-bedroom bungalow situated on a family farm. The home is comfortable and has everything you need for a week's stay, the homemade cake on arrival was a welcome surprise after our long journey. The bird feeders were awesome and hours were spent watching the different varieties of birds, especially the Woodpeckers!! The only thing to be aware of is that the property is very very remote and is a good 20-minute drive from the main roads, so be prepared for this, the postcode does take you straight to the door though, so trust the sat nav down the narrow country lanes!! Located in the beautiful Welsh Countryside with excellent views, this really was a peaceful and lovely cottage.

Just back from an amazing mini holiday at kenfig farm.
Felt so at home as soon as we walked in the door it's a lovely old characterful house perfectly situated right opposite kenfig pool and nature reserve. Very well equipped milk and cakes much appreciated after long journey plenty of tea coffees available and a range of spices. Lovely garden to sit and listen to the birds fantastic walks from the door and great base to get out and about from. Neville was great with communications and helpful advice. Would definitely come here again what a gem of a property thankyou for a lovely holiday Neville and family xx

The property is a bit of a drive over the hills, but is in the most stunning location. The owner was incredibly friendly and we would have loved to have stayed longer. The setting is at the bottom of a valley surrounded by pheasants and a couple of farm dogs. A 20 minute walk up the hill leads to views of Snowdon and Siabod which makes for a glorious sunset. The cottage itself is warm and cosy and well insulated with plenty of wood for an open fire. All the facilities are also great - dishwasher, big TV, comfy sofas etc. Will definitely be coming back!
