Dog-friendly cottages in Anglesey

With 140 miles of footpath along its dramatic coastline, this tiny island gem is an unforgettable holiday destination. Browse our gorgeous range of dog-friendly accommodation in Anglesey and start planning the dream seaside getaway for you and your pup.

Dog-friendly holidays in Anglesey

About 30 miles west of Llandudno in Conwy, Anglesey houses some of the most beautiful views in all of Wales.

On the south of the island, you'll find the idyllic Llanddwyn Island and its picturesque lighthouse. You can also explore the golden sands of Llanddwyn Beach which remain dog-friendly year-round, as well as letting your dog wander through the ancient woodland areas nearby.

To see more of the stunning shore, follow the Anglesey Coastal path. You can pick up the trail all across the island to see breathtaking sites like Bwa Gwynn's Sea Arches, the rolling dunes of Aberffraw, and the South Stack Lighthouse.

Adventurous canines can accompany you on the waves as you take a boat trip to nearby Puffin Island. While the birds of its namesake are rarer today, there's a good chance you'll spot seals here as well as plenty of other interesting wildlife.

In addition to its stunning natural beauty, Anglesey is full of fascinating history. The primary relic on the island is the amazing Beaumaris Castle. Built (and never finished) in 1320, it’s well worth a visit, especially as dogs are allowed on all ground floor areas.

In the quaint seaside town of Beaumaris, you'll find friendly people, plenty of independent shops and cafes, and some absolutely delightful food. Ty Dderw Country Inn, housed in a converted farmhouse, is one of our top picks as well as the Tavern on The Bay which serves fantastic seafood.
