What our customers say about their holidays

We were very happy with our choice of accommodation - the owner was lovely and very friendly.
As this is on her land specifically we got to chat when we arrived. The accommodation is not the "Cleanest" with some things being a bit dusty and cobwebbed - but at the end of the day its a farm cottage and was roughly in line with my expectation. Once we got settled we found most of the things that mattered in cleanliness were taken care of - the couch and carpets were all clean and so were the beds. The arrival was lovely with Jane (Owner) having made food for our arrival including baked items on the kitchen table that went above and beyond what she needed to do. As a penny pinching Scotsman i must say i felt we got our money's worth :). The parking outside could get complicated if the housing was all in use and they all had cars / multiples there were three cars at our time of staying and we all managed perfectly fine and could possibly squeeze 1 or 2 (maybe) more without having a tight parking situation! The fire was a delight i had not 100% expected as it was as Jane allowed us access to the firewood stores to collect our own fuel as and when we wished and we made good use of this on chillier nights though often these were far and few between with the cottage being quite warm (probably with the weather). One thing to bear in mind, the ceilings are very high but those doorways ain't ;) and its easy to forget that on the way to the loo at 2am. The only thing i would point out as needs improving would be the show in this cottage, i would add an anti slip mat to the bath for one, as this was noted when all 6ft 6 of me went a bit slidy, and the second thing would be a curtain, i felt terrible with the fantastic water pressure in this shower that the water just sprayed everywhere in the bathroom. That would be the only thing i think. For people looking at booking i recommend you do so its a great place lovely and out of the way, it took 10 minutes to get to walks around the cottage for hills, or to visit the towns (10 min drive to Bangor and supermarkets) and a 20-30 minute outing to Holy Island for a day. This is a perfectly placed cottage that is comfortable and friendly with excellent facilities and a fantastic link to nearby areas - it has to be the best place i have stayed in the last 10 years. Many thanks to the owners for a great stay I hope to be back :) Nik

Well, what can I say⦠we absolutely loved our week at Rynys, it was everything we had hoped for and more.
Chosen mainly for the location, as well as luxury and comfort, we were not disappointed. Upon arrival the property was clean and tidy and in the kitchen was a welcome pack, which was much appreciated. There was also a folder which contained everything that you would need to know about the property and appliances plus lots of information leaflets for local attractions/places to visit. The views from the property are astounding, and it was very relaxing sitting out on the balcony or patio first thing in the morning with a cuppa, just gazing at the hills and mountains and listening to the wildlife. Rynys is exceptionally well laid out and the fixtures and fittings are of a high standard. We found a lot of our time was spent in the large, bright kitchen/diner, which is a great place to sit and chat, and also a great space for our dogs to rest and sleep in. It was always nice to relax in the living room later on, and we even had a fire in the wood burner one evening. All the bedrooms are very well furnished and the master bedroom is amazing, with views to die for from the balcony. The games and entertainment in the basement and garage were just another added treat for us all, and we really enjoyed using these facilities. Rynys is central to everywhere we wanted to visit, we just didnât have time to get around all of them, but Conwy, Beddgelert, Betws-y-Coed, Caernarfon, and Angelsey are all less than 30 minutes drive. You can literally be in a forest, on a beach, up a mountain, walking along a river or lake in no time at all. Our particular favourite was a recommendation from Gareth, the exceptionally nice and helpful caretaker. We mentioned that we were going to Angelsey one day and after asking what we liked, suggested Llanddwyn Bay - what an amazing day we had with the dogs, and the fantastic weather certainly helped. Gareth kindly bought over a ball for the dogs to play with too, which was very thoughtful of him. I would definitely recommend staying at Rynys, especially if you are getting together with a few friends or family, as there is so much to do. Weâre already planning our next visit later in the year!!! Wendy, Steve & Doggies.

This was THE best house we have ever stayed in, and we've been in a few over the last 25 years - everyone was wowed by it and everything it provided which was every single thing you could need except a microwave (unless we just couldn't find it!
). We chose the house for its location - Snowdonia and fantastic outdoor climbing around Llanberis - which is second to none, and the very large garden which was perfect for our dog who hates other dogs so we didn't want to have to take her out for walks - she loved the space and learnt very quickly to avoid the bee hives which are sited well away from the house and own a slope out of site - if you are concerned about such things. The views are incredible - sipping wine looking across to the mountains - it was heaven. The photos don't do the place justice as we didn't realise that the master bedroom is a contained suite with dressing room and amazing shower room. The downstairs boot room is amazing for storing all the walking kit and even a boot drier rack - we've never stayed anywhere so perfectly equipped and the whole family ran around on arrival exclaiming "WOW - look at this!" on arrival. We had sublime weather - just wall-to-wall sunshine - Anglesey has fantastic beaches and you are perfectly positioned for walking. There was ping-pong (not mentioned in the details so a nice surprise to find in the garage), table football, pool table, trampoline (very large) and a cinema room - for rainy days and kids - with a beer fridge so you don't have to go back up from the basement to the kitchen!! We had prosecco AND wine waiting in the fridge for us on arrival as well as milk and a basket with coffee, cake and welsh cakes. Fantastic. We had a perfect stay and will 100% re-visit. Don't even think twice about booking this place, you won't regret it - although don't book it so we can go whenever we want and pretend its ours!

Good Morning Wow !
!! What a beautiful property - from the building its self to the interior design it showed care and thought. We were a family of 3 generations, semi wheelchair user and 2 dogs !!! The space and facilities were amazing. Your caretaker Gareth was great with places to go and general knowledge of the area and how things worked within the home. We had a fantastic week (weather this week helped but if it had rained and we had stayed in we would never get bored with the basement !!!) We are trade people - double glazing, property developers and ground working people so we found the book on the property very exciting to look at and could appreciate the workman ship you put in to building the property. When I was looking for a property to take the wheelchair yours fitted every thing (if I could just add the maybe a walk in shower with fold away chair on the wall may be an idea) But we were able to wheel dad round the whole house and out side with no problem - even up to the outdoor BBQ - fantastic We will be back to explore more of Wales and hope to stay at the luxurious home Rynys Thank you Laura Paul and the Gang

What a find!
Wonderful cottage in a beautiful location with views of the coastline and mountains. The cottage is situated at the quiet end of the village with views across to the airport which has a lovely cafe and museum. The description of the cottage and amenities were spot on and are a credit to the lovely friendly owners. The cottage was very comfortable with good quality towels and bed linen and has all the comforts for an enjoyable holiday - especially nice is the TV room where you can relax at the end of the day. The outside area was ideal for sitting out and a enclosed area for the dogs to run free. Dinas Dinlle is a perfect base to stay to explore this beautiful area of Wales and despite not having the best of the weather we still managed to explore the surrounding area, taking in the beautiful scenery with plenty to see and visit. The dogs especially enjoyed their walks along the beach. We would definitely recommend Oak Cottage as it is one of the best we have stayed in over the years and canât wait to visit this part of Wales again soon.
