What our customers say about their holidays

Lovely property.
Very clean & cosy. Excellent communication with flexible check in and out times. Lovely little conservatory with great views. Massive negative with a Gardner in the garden from early morning. (Before 9) for most of the day without even any communication from owner. My self and my husband both have health problems after a busy couple of days we had decided this would be a rest and chill day. Breakfast in bed, looking at the garden. and plans to eat lunch in conservatory The reason we had booked for 3 days also. We are quite private and found this very intrusive. Woken by a strimmer and a man right outside the bedroom window. Consequently, we had breakfast with curtains closed and didn't use conservatory. I realise garden maintenance is needed but this should be booked around changeover days, just like cleaning and any other maintenance. We were only staying 3 days, surely the Gardner could have done it the next day when we were checking out.

Agreeing with all that has been said before the location and facilities of this Craven Cottage has been first class. I cant believe its only 3 stars we are certainly going to book again. We had a great week using a North West rover on the railway and also sampling various bus routes. The Saturday bus to Harrogate and the Sunday bus from Grassington to Hawes were particularly scenic and interesting. We mostly catered for ourselves but would recommend Bizzy Lizzies for fish and chips. Skipton has many bakers shops that you are spoilt for choice but pastries from Thomas's were very good. As for doing your washing try the Express Laundromat on Sackville Street a seven minute walk away and the staff were very helpful , they give change for the machines and you can buy soap there. WE hope you will enjoy your stay in this delightful cottage as we did

Really clean property, with good Wifi (we used phones and tablets only) which was in a perfect location for us.
It was quite a chilly windy time when we stayed and The Annexe was lovely and warm with the fire in the evenings. The main bed was large and really really comfy with good quality bedding. Kitchen was cosy and was well equipped too. We had to contact the owners regarding the sofa bed as we couldnât work it out and they responded very quickly - the issue was itâs designed so it doesnât lie flat, so we had opened it correctly it just did not look right. Son didnât find it very comfy as a front sleeper, and used the camping mat we had brought instead. It was however a very comfy sofa. The water pressure in the shower was a little on the low side but the water temp was fine. Bathroom just lacked a couple of hooks to hang towels/dressing gowns on. Owners friendly and helpful.

We had the most wonderful 5 nights away in The Annex.
It was super clean and altho it is small it was more than adequate for.our needs. The weather was amazing which helped. Lots of areas.near by to.explore and walk which we loved. Skipton Castle worth a visit and Skipton woods with the wild garlic. We made.good use of the decking area which is a real.sun trap. We loved sitting listening to the Curlews and other birds. Lots of Jacdaws entertaining us. The lambs in the field were a real.joy to watch and hear. One slight gripe.was that there was no handsoap in the kitchen or.bathroom.....we bought some.so.wasnt a big issue and probably an oversight. Other slight gripe was only 1 bath towel.each..... normally have bath and hand towel each. But really I am nit picking. We would love to come and stay again. Xx

We would highly recommend the property. The location is great for people with or without a car. Skipton is a town with lots to see close by or as we did drive further afield to visit other places. We visited York, Harrogate, Ullswater, Hawes, Ingleton, Bolton Abbey, Hebden Bridge, Ripon, Malham, Aysgarth Falls, Ilkley Moor and many other places. We also love having so much in Skipton on the doorstep so if you don’t drive it is a lovely town to walk around with interesting shops etc. The cottage is right in the heart of the town which is great when you want to pop out for a quick look at the market etc before going out for the day. The cottage is also very well looked after, very clean and has good facilities. We have stayed twice now and will hopefully return soon.
