What our customers say about their holidays

We really enjoyed our stay, although the neighbours were extremely difficult.
When we arrived we pulled into the bay by the property to unload our belongings, a young woman from the house in front of the bay immediately came out and shouted at us, she also insulted me when I told her we were only unpacking our stuff, we didnât plan on parking there. The lady at the back said thereâs been a lot of bother from them; however they didnât bother us again. Then my husband and I were in the kitchen with the door open at the back when a large dog came bounding through the door and tried to attack me, my husband threw water on it and was able to intimidate the dog so that it moved and we managed to barricade ourselves behind the back door until finally my husband closed the door. I was quite shaken by the experience. My husband shouted through the window for the neighbour at the end to get his dog- he didnât and it continued to bark aggressively at us from behind the door; bearing its teeth and ready to attack when we tried to open/close the door window to shout to the man. He was actually hiding behind his gate as we could see him ducking behind the door. Iâm concerned that if I had have been a child or my new 12 week old puppy- this would have been a sad story. I loved the cottage though, so beautiful, comfortable and clean. I would say that I wouldnât take children or elderly people, just in case. Unless the problem is resolved but how could you resolve this? I would not allow this to stop you renting this property- it really is that good, just be careful about the parking and be careful in the shared backyard where thereâs no gate between you and the end neighbours with the dog. (The neighbour has a gate but heâd obviously opened it to let his dog out). Ok, so the garden is absolutely gorgeous, very quirky set up on two/three levels. Lovely lady lives next door feeds the seagulls everyday, be careful thereâs loads of them that flock there- not a problem for us as we werenât home in the morning. BBQ area is pleasantly arranged and plenty of seating and cushions. The lights didnât work when we were there, but we werenât in the garden late anyway. Overall I would stay here again because it felt very homely, but Iâd be extremely careful out the back door in the communal yard part. We never saw the dog before or after it attacked us. There is a gate on the main garden and itâs one step from the back door. Just be careful as you always are in public areas. And donât speak to the house on the left of the property, very rude. The heating was perfect, bedding ok, decor and condition of the place was just right and spotlessly clean. In a near perfect location. Two large Terraces that look across the bay- stunning. Thanks again.

This house is beautifully presented, absolutely immaculately clean and very comfortable for 2-4 guests.
We were let down with another place in the peaks right at the last minute, so ended up booking this the same afternoon and headed straight there. On arrival, there was a welcome pack with essentials like tea, coffee, milk sachets, biscuits, though were surprised to a bottle of wine too. The kitchen is very well stocked, even supplying things you wouldnât expect like sandwich bags, tin foil and kitchen roll. The property is super pet friendly, with an array of pet supplies like bowls in different sizes and dog mess bags. The garden is very secure and safe for pets, and I think the artificial grass is a good call for the hire market as itâs easier to maintain for both owner and guest. There was one mess in the back garden when we arrived, but I honestly think it was a cat rather than an oversight of the owner. The care and attention of the owners comes across with a welcome manual, intricate details often missed in rentals and the additional facilities such as an air fryer, outdoor furniture and Netflix accounts on the 3 tvs! Morecambe is also pleasant with good hearted people, including the next door neighbours. There are ponies in the field next to the property, they really appreciate carrots and apples, we made very good friends with them. There is only one small thing we think could be improved and thatâs the mattresses, theyâre very average in quality and not in keeping with the rest of the property. You can still get a good sleep, but if they were changed for something more plush then this would be a 5* property with no flaws whatsoever. Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

A cosy 70's style retro flat.
Lovely living room with nicely.placed tall lamps. A kitchen perfect for two and a cute dog mat for dog bowls. The bedroom was beautiful, warm and intimate. The bathroom had a modern feel and just big enough for two. I enjoyed lounging on the sofa with the comfy throw. I was able to rest, relax and enjoy my birthday. The added touches of biscuits and jam were welcome. The filtered coffee was too posh for me. I appreciated the card and small chocolates for my birthday. The garden that I had a quick look round with the dog was nicely laid out with the added touch of fresh herbs for the cooks. It would be nice place to sit in the summer. The off road parking was good too. Owners were helpful with my little queries and quick to respond. Overall an enjoyable stay I would recommend to any couple wanting a quite relaxing stay in a friendly place.

We couldnât fault our stay at Brynmar, itâs a little gem!
The location is next to the bay, which is provides beautiful walks around Heysham. The property itself has a fabulous view of the bay, which our dog very much enjoyed, watching walkers up and down. It was clean, has a lovely modern decor and the owners had thought of every detail which was very much appreciated. Towels, bedding, tea towels, labelled keys to doors and windows, books of the area, cot and highchair, information on how to use all appliances, the kitchen was very well equipped. Our Dog was very happy with the dog treats gifted. Shops, village, dog friendly pubs and bay all in walking distance. There was plenty of street parking in front of the property as-well as a driveway for 1 vehicle. The communication with the owners was also brilliant. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

We have just returned from an amazing stay at Mountain View.
This is an owner who has ticked every box to make very comfortable, stylish accommodation. Added to that is the apartments unique location. Next to a quaint canal bridge with stunning views across Morecambe Bay to the Lake District. Hest Bank is handy for trips in many directions, while still being a restful, sleepy village. There is a handy pub/restaurant just across the road (it isn't noisy). Walks from the door abound, and the owner has left very useful instructions with maps to find them. The kitchen is particularly well equipped, while still having lots of space for your own consumables. So many holiday houses forget you need at least one cupboard for your porridge etc. The very friendly owner was only a text message away when we had a query. We whole heartedly recommend Mountain View.
