Location of the accommodation was ideal for attending a local wedding.Good points: the cottage has a nice layout, good storage and hanging space in both bedrooms. The heating system worked effectively. Pretty basic but functional.Not so good points: it was described as ‘luxurious’ - we would say ‘basic and feeling a bit tired’. The blinds in both bedrooms were broken - one blind had several broken slats, the other blind had a broken mechanism so the slats wouldn’t adjust or close properly. Half the slats on one of the single beds had fallen out and needed putting back in. There was no hot water coming through the tap in the bathroom (although kitchen tap and shower were ok). Bathroom looked a bit grubby, drain was a bit smelly! The floors looked clean but our feet/socks were filthy within a short time of being there. Only 2 mugs were supplied in the kitchen, one with a big chip, despite it being a booking for 4 adults. We tried to contact the provided number for the owners to report all of this, left a message, but got no response. Overall, it was ‘OK’ for what we needed it for but we wouldn’t return.
