The Old Chapel is a spacious and beautifully refurbished property, ideal for family gatherings or groups, with each bedroom featuring an en-suite. Guests praise its stunning interiors, comfortable furnishings, and excellent kitchen facilities. The location offers scenic views, walking paths, and proximity to local pubs and Ulverston. While most found the property clean and well-equipped, a few noted minor cleaning and maintenance issues, and some found the bin instructions confusing. Overall, guests enjoyed a relaxing and memorable stay in a peaceful setting.

Most guests found the property clean and well-presented, though a few mentioned cobwebs, dust, and some marks in bathrooms. One review noted a stained quilt. Overall, cleanliness was good but with occasional lapses.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful scenery, proximity to walking paths, and easy access to local pubs and Ulverston. Some guests found the road junction challenging and noted traffic concerns, but overall the setting is considered excellent.

Guests consistently highlight the comfort of the property, with spacious rooms, quality furnishings, and cosy atmosphere even in cold weather. The en-suites and ample living space add to the comfort, though the mezzanine bedroom offers less privacy.

The property is well-equipped with a modern kitchen, multiple bathrooms, a drying room, and ample parking. Some minor suggestions included clearer bin instructions, an extra oven shelf, and improved draught-proofing, but overall facilities are highly rated.

Lovely family break. The Chapel had loads of space for everyone to relax in. The living area was stunning with plenty of seating for us all. The drying room was great, for wet boots and dog towels to dry. We visited the 2 local pubs for food, pizza at the Farmers Arms in Lowick (just across the road) which was great and a lovely3-course meal at The Royal Oak Pub in Ulverston just down the road in Spark Bridge. Both pubs were very dog friendly too.Only suggestion would be maybe to have some full length curtains in the bedroom’s downstairs where the doors are - when we were there it was extremely windy and there was quite a draft that came through them which made it a little chilly in the mornings. Otherwise would definitely recommend The Chapel.

Beautiful cottage perfect for what we wanted for a weekend break. The balcony bedroom was a little weird. Good job we were all friends and not too noisy. For what we wanted the situation was great, near to the coast and the lakes. We had a lovely meal with good service at The Royal Oak .
