The property's dog-friendly nature and the thoughtful touches from the managing agents add to the positive experience. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall sentiment is one of satisfaction, with many guests planning to return.
Most guests found Jaspers Retreat to be clean and comfortable. However, a few mentioned the need for a more thorough cleaning, citing dust and stray hairs. These seem to be isolated incidents rather than a consistent trend.
The property's central location in Bowness-On-Windermere is highly regarded, with guests loving the proximity to local amenities and the stunning views. The steep approach is noted, which may be a consideration for those with mobility issues.
Guests consistently mention the comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and cosy atmosphere of the property. The luxurious touches contribute to a restful and enjoyable stay, although some guests noted issues with bedroom and en-suite doors being noisy.
The property is celebrated for its well-equipped kitchen, ample parking, and modern amenities like Sky Glass TV. Some guests suggest that certain aspects, such as the decking and cutlery, could benefit from updates or repairs.
Guests are delighted by the thoughtful extras, including welcome gifts like wine and biscuits. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it's important to note that such amenities are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.
A spectacular architect designed, 5-star property for a very special holiday or celebration, this outstanding residence offers the best of modern living and certainly has the wow factor. Jaspers Retreat enjoys an elevated position on Brantfell, just minutes from the villages of Bowness and Windermere. Glass balconies and floor to ceiling windows throughout Jaspers Retreat, make the most of spectacular views to Lake Windermere and the Coniston Fells beyond. Whatever the weather, a choice of indoor or al-fresco dining make this an ideal property all year round.
The large entrance hall opens into an extremely useful utility room with shower room and wc. It also leads the way into a superb bedroom with four poster bed and glass doors opening onto a balcony, revealing more of those stunning views. A few steps up from the entrance is the main living space. A huge, open plan sitting room in which to spread out and relax. Sumptuous furnishings, beamed ceilings, cosy underfloor heating and mesmerising wood burning stove make this a wonderful place in which to chat with friends. A large family dining area is ideal for lazy breakfasts spent reading the papers, or elegant evening meals by candlelight and the kitchen is to die for, with its state-of-the-art appliances and glorious outlook.
The final two bedrooms are found just a few steps down from the entrance hall. The master bedroom with en-suite, a divine family bathroom with walk in shower, and third bedroom with super king size bed which can be made up as a twin. Be sure to request this in advance. Both of these rooms have sliding glass doors that open on to a large patio overlooking the local countryside.
This luxury Bowness holiday home is the epitome of luxury and style, somewhere guests will remember for a very long time
