A visit to the childhood home of one of our favourite poets is a must, and you'll find this National Trust property accommodates your dog beautifully. They're not allowed everywhere, but the gardens are great, and water is supplied. There are some cracking walks nearby too, so you if you're visiting in a group you can take it in turns to visit the house while your dog gets double walkies. Head here in the spring, when the 'Host of golden daffodils' really brings Wordsworth's epic poem to life.
