Just had a lovely stay for a week, family came for weekend. The fire is a must in winter which added to chapel stay. The underfloor heating was needed and a delight, So much to do as there were puzzles, books, games and cards there. We did bring our own games too. Loads to do in surrounding areas and the local pub The Kings Head roast dinner was amazing. Didn’t go to local cafe but will definitely be going back to stay so next time. My only gripe the two frying pans need to be up dated as eggs stuck to them and need more small containers to use for micro wave and bedrooms could do with wardrobes. Nice touch was information book with everything you need to know about chapel and surrounding areas. My two dogs loved the garden and castle. Hoping to come back in summer. Definitely worth every penny, definitely coming back. I give it five stars.

We have just finished a long weekend here - absolutely wonderful place- cosy, warm, peaceful and very comfortable - even the beds were as comfy as home. Plenty of bathrooms and plenty of space for everyone to relax & have some peace and privacy. Well appointed kitchen which is also a pleasant place to sit and chat/listen to the radio. The owners kindly left us some fresh local produce, which we enjoyed, Thank You. We loved exploring the castle remains and surrounding area - a very picturesque location.Close to Diss & Norwich soPlenty to do. With the underfloor heating, radiators and log burner it was always lovely and warm. We've stayed in many places in Norfolk but this is the ONLY one we want to return to - we're already looking forward to our next stay and willLikely book in the next couple of days. Highly recommend .

An amazing, characterful building with lots of room for our party of four adults and dog, with a huge garden (visited by deer and badgers). How many properties can boast a moat at the bottom of the garden and the keys to the grounds of an old castle keep? The welcome package (including eggs from the owners' own chickens which roam the garden nearby, much to the fascination of our dog) was very much appreciated. There is a great pub locally and a lovely little village shop and a cafe. Supermarket shopping, butchers, takeaways etc are within a short distance by car (in Diss for example). We all had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday
