Stella’s Retreat will delight from the moment you arrive. Seeking comfort and relaxation then you have found your perfect holiday home. Being all on one level, having no steps and stairs, makes the accommodation attractive for those guests wanting to avoid. The lounge has comfy sofas and patio door opening into the private enclosed lawn garden. A well-equipped kitchen will allow you opportunity to prepare any meal to dine at home. For those that prefer to dine out, there are plenty of eateries close by.
The pretty town of Loddon offers shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The River Chet flows through the town, with opportunity to sit and enjoy the waterside activities. Formerly, the waterway was home to a fleet of wherries that transported various commodities along the navigable section of the River Chet. Today, the pace of life is much more relaxed with a few boats, swans and ducks. Daily boat hire, canoe, kayaking and paddling boarding all available for hire locally. Great walking, cycling and bird watching are available from the doorstep, and fishing is available on riverbank (in season, with licence).
Visit the traditional seaside resort of Great Yarmouth, 16 miles away, with a pier, wide sandy beaches and town centre, packed with activities for all ages. The market town of Beccles, 7 miles away, for shops, market days, cafes, supermarkets, restaurants, daily boat hire and river trips. Enjoy the Lido outdoor swimming pool, pre-booking is advised. The city of Norwich, 11 miles away, has two indoor shopping malls, a market square, cinema complex, theatre, castle museum, cathedral, art galleries and plenty of restaurants and inns. Southwold and the Suffolk heritage coastline is 20 miles away. Beach 16 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 700 yards.

Stella's Retreat was a lovely cottage that ticked all our boxes after a prolonged period of ill health, ie all on one level and a walk in shower. Sitting in the peaceful garden was lovely. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday and Loddon is well placed for visiting a number of attractions.

Stella retreat, well equipped, everything you need.Bungalow clean and well presented. Never been in a holiday let as well maintained it was a pleasure staying there Lovely welcome pack thoughtfully presented from our hosts.Only 1 negative. Hence the score I appreciate that we having some beautiful weather. But..The wooden seating area .Reminded of an outdoor toilet at my anties house, all it needed was a hole.. No cushions as in photo, area housed a brush, pitty the area hadn't been used . Covered with leaves and spiders web. The little flags long past their sell buy date.Raised flower beds could certainly do with some loving care.Not just water. This beautiful area had been totally neglected quite sad

A perfect place to stay. Easy to find and parking right outside the door. Although the road going past the bungalow into the High Street can be a bit manic at times. But once inside Stella's Retreat it is very quiet. Beautifully presented - wonderfully furnished and clean. Ann has thought of everything from the cakes, wine and flowers on arrival right through to all the condiments you would have at home. All the little extras were very much appreciated. Like a lot of places now, parking in Loddon is chaotic at best and busy with through traffic. Easy enough to walk the distance but the path is very narrow. But that doesn't spoil the relaxing environment at Stella's.
