Unfortunately we had a few issues with the Coach House, the shower was not working so had to get that fixed by the owner, the bathroom door wouldn't close and no lock on the door, the welcome pack had out of date pop corn packets, the beds were awful, my daughter couldn't sleep in her bed as the mattress was so hard and the top bunk was not much better, so slept on the sofa which was not ideal. The main bed was so soft that you sank in it so no support, didnt sleep well, so overall it wasn't brilliant. There was no shaver point in bathroom and no shelf to put items on either. The location was excellent but no amenities other than one pub. Overall we did enjoy our holiday but would probably stay somewhere else if we came back to northumberland. Hope this info helps future guests.

Coach House is a beautiful home and the nearby Anchor Inn was a great place to eat. It is advertised as all on Ground Floor, however there is one step up to the bathroom and two more steps up to the bedroom, with no handrail. If you are disabled, like I am, it is very challenging. Great location to visit Beamish.
