Island View is a well-regarded holiday cottage in Morpeth, praised for its excellent location near the harbour and beach, and its well-equipped kitchen. Guests appreciate the comfortable lounge and the property's suitability for dogs. The cottage's cleanliness is generally good, though minor issues were noted. Facilities are modern, with some suggestions for maintenance. The property's thoughtful touches, such as a welcome pack, add to the welcoming atmosphere, although specific gifts are not guaranteed.
The property is generally found to be very clean, with isolated incidents of overlooked areas. One guest mentioned finding items in drawers, and another noted dirty patio windows, but these seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The location is consistently praised for its proximity to the beach, harbour, and town amenities, making it an ideal base for exploring the area.
Guests find the lounge comfortable and the beds mostly satisfactory, though there are comments about one of the mattresses being uncomfortable. Overall, the property provides a comfortable stay.
Facilities are modern and well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and good showers. However, there are mentions of a need for maintenance, such as TV reception issues and suggestions for a mattress replacement.
While guests mention welcome packs, there is not enough information to assess the consistency or quality of these gestures. Therefore, it is politely noted that such thoughtful touches, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

Lovely holiday cottage. Kitchen was extremely well equipped. Both showers worked really well. Lounge very comfortable and lovely to watch the birds which is fed every day. Location excellent with being 5 mins, if that from the harbour, pods, paddlers park. My only little gripe would be the patio windows were dirty possibly with a dog nose!! But everything else seemed acceptable. We tried to book for the same week next year but it had already been taken.

Stayed at Island view Oct 2025 and had a fabulous week at the cottage. Location was perfect for the dogs as it is a very short walk to the beach. Amble itself is a beautiful little town with plenty to see & do . Island view was perfect very clean, modern and had everything we needed to make our stay so welcoming. Thank you . Would highly recommend. We will be back . 😁

Lovely accommodation in a fantastic location. We were a party of two couples and two Dogs. Parking outside for the two vehicles was no problem. A pint of milk rather than a bottle of wine for a quick brew after travelling would have been more appreciated for a welcome pack, two of us are not wine drinkers. There is an open field just outside the property for the Dogs plus two outside spaces with the property. On the ground floor there is a decent size shower with basin and toilet and on the first floor a bath and separate decent size shower basin and toilet. The two bedrooms are good sizes one of the beds has had a new mattress fitted as mentioned in the information pack hopefully the other bed will get a new mattress as it was uncomfortable. The lounge is spacious but the tv reception was bad with channels pixelating or not coming on at all even after retuning. We have stopped in properties adjacent and not had trouble with tv reception, so suggest the Ariel is looked at. The broadband speed is good so allowed streaming which helped. There were no instructions how to connect to the wifi, just get the details off the removable label on the router at the back of the tv. We have been holidaying in amble many times and many properties for at least 20 years this property is among the best we’ve stayed in. Over the years we have noticed how Amble has been regenerated with new buildings enhancing the area the views from the harbour are stunning it is a good location to travel to other parts of Northumberland.
